		<description>In the very earliest radio serials, the parents on shows such as "Father Knows Best" (which started in radio) were frequently known to lament the decline of civilization in playful ways with their kids.  Cavemen likely spent the days bitchin' about how it used to be better in the trees.</description>

		<description>Some excellent points. We tend to see history through rose colored glasses when the reality is that life in America is much much much better now for many people, including children. Of course, that isn't true for all people and many would argue that it could even be better, but really, when hasn't that been the case?</description>
